Contributors Wanted
We’re looking for part-time contributors eager to have their work featured in our newsletter
Are you passionate about AI and have insights you’d like to share with a vibrant community of tech enthusiasts?
If you’re a skilled writer, you feel confident exploring machine learning topics, and you wish to engage with our audience, we invite you to apply! But before you do, please have a careful look through this section.
➡️ How to apply
Read this short guide and familiarize yourself with the type of content we publish.
Assess whether your abilities and goals align with our vision — decide if we’re the right fit for you.
Fill in our short application form. Be sure to include a link to your work samples, with brief commentary if necessary. The total word count should not exceed 1500 words.
Wait for our response (no need to email us beforehand or after the fact).
In most cases, we’ll get back to you within a week. However, sometimes it takes longer due to the volume of applications we’re processing at any given time.
➡️ Why contribute
By writing for our newsletter, you’ll reach a dedicated audience interested in AI and ML advancements. You’ll also have the chance to demonstrate your expertise, grow your personal brand, and network with other thought leaders in the field.
We currently have over 4,000 readers from virtually every corner of the globe, among them AI practitioners, tech entrepreneurs, developers, researchers, and other curious souls. Writing for us means connecting with all these individuals.
We have partnered with reputable portals such as the Turing Post, Towards AI, and Ben’s Bites, and have been featured in prominent media outlets, including VentureBeat, HackerNoon, and Nasdaq. You’ll be in good company.
Since our inception, we’ve produced a number of well-received research studies, landscapes, critical summaries, and interviews with key industry players from organizations such as NAVER, Tongcheng, and MIT.
No matter your background, your expertise will grow. If you’re primarily a programmer, you’ll learn to communicate more effectively with non-engineers. If you’re business-oriented, you’ll gain new perspectives on the intricacies of the AI landscape. If you’re focused on the humanities, you’ll enhance your understanding of machine learning technologies and tools.
Being an AIport contributor is also a great way to hone your linguistic skills and mature as a professional writer as you investigate more topics and master new formats.
➡️ Publication rules
You don’t need to be a seasoned engineer to write about AI, but you do need to understand complex topics and explain them to our audience using simple language. This means being a decent writer isn’t enough — you must also possess strong analytical skills.
We strive to avoid articles that are commonplace elsewhere. Writing for us involves researching new developments, finding fresh angles, and creating engaging, educational, and entertaining content for our readers.
While we encourage writers to come up with their own topics, all submissions are reviewed and, if necessary, modified to reflect AIport’s style and ethos. If you prefer your work to remain untouched by editorial input, we aren’t right for you. We operate as a team, which means we value constructive criticism and peer feedback.
Writing takes time, but sometimes there’s a shortage of it. To keep up in the ever-accelerating world of modern technology, you’ll need to maintain a reasonably fast writing pace. Deadlines must be honored.
Passing off someone else’s work as your own is plagiarism. It’s not just unethical, it’s illegal. Having a writing assistant carry out your work, whether a person or a machine, falls into this category.
We don’t hire full-time staff writers. As a result, we don’t pay for published materials. What we offer is the opportunity to showcase your talent before a global audience and contribute to the ongoing AI debate in a meaningful way.
Thank you. We look forward to reading your submissions!
